toebeenz (“we,” “us”) runs a small, hand-curated gallery of pet toe beans at toebeenz.com. This policy explains what information we collect when you upload a photo or use the site, how we use it, and how we protect it. We keep it simple because we collect very little.
Information we collect
- Photos and captions you upload. The photo of your pet’s paw pads and any caption you add. If a photo is approved, it is posted publicly on the wall. We strip embedded location (EXIF/GPS) data from every photo before storing it.
- Your name (optional). If you enter a name with your upload, we keep it for our own records and a submitters list. It is not shown publicly on the wall.
- Your IP address. Recorded with an upload to prevent spam and abuse, and in standard server logs needed to run and secure the site.
- Paw “likes.” When you paw a photo, we store a random anonymous ID in your browser and your IP address, used only to keep it to one paw per person per photo. This is not tied to your identity.
- Visit analytics. We log each page view with your IP address, an approximate location (city / region / country), your device and browser, the page you viewed, and the site you came from. It’s tied only to the anonymous visitor cookie and used to understand our traffic.
How we use it
- To review your photo and, if approved, post it to the public gallery.
- To prevent spam, duplicate paws, and abuse, and to keep the site secure.
- To understand our own traffic (how many people visit, and roughly from where).
What we do not do
We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties, and we do not use it for marketing.
Public photos
Photos approved for the wall are public. Please don’t upload anything you wouldn’t want shown publicly. You can ask us to remove your photo at any time — see below.
Removing your photo
We review every submission and you can request removal of your photo at any time by getting in touch with the site owner.
Children
toebeenz is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
